Aeronautical engineers collaborating remotely all over the US have adopted a visual immersive collaborative system from Oblong Technologies, which breaks down barriers between the digital and the physical.

In this video interview with the Academy, Mary Anne de Lares Norris of Oblong Technologies – a speaker at WORKTECH London 2016 – explains the benefits of the technology for remote teams. Oblong is aimed in particular at millennials, who want a voice at the table as part of what she describes as ‘the pixel democracy’. Research by the company identified a demand for quick, casual collaboration among the millennial cohort.
